I wish he had more pictures and diagrams to help explain and showcase some of the hardware, setting operations, and capabilities of the Kindle Fire HD. A more complete basic guidebook and primer could have been helpful to get a novice to start going even more aware on their device. This book has more information and covers the apps better than a quick paragraph, and his other book with similar title. Otherwise the book is fine as a simple primer and helpful starter book for the newbie or a good reference to remember some details forgotten. I prefer many resources, as I have found some details or points are left out of one book or another. I figured out early many is better than a few. Life on the Kindle Fire HD is a better learning with information from many different perspectives and treatments of authors. I hope I have an adequate number, but we never can be sure can we? I think the price was fine, and the book touches enough key bases for it's intention. Although that is where more books in onr's library all makes it a sensible point. If someone isn't sure what book to buy, then do acquire as many as your can. Please be sure to first check out the scope of the content and the length of it. Sometimes description of inside details are vague. I found the best reviews and the least criticisms are sometimes very helpful. However it was a crap shoot sometimes on certain selections. Price on some were free, and others were low in it to help add a good library. I know there is some material I may never use, and others I wish I knew or understood bettter. So when my grandchildren aren't around I go searching on my own, this manual is easy to read and understand.
Go for it other Granny's!!!
I found a lot of really good information here that I haven't seen in any other similar books. It is well written and doesn' just tell you about games. It goes into more things the can do than is advertised. It's well worth the time you'll spend going through it. I do wish that the apps the author does talk about were links, though
Not much here, a waste of my time and reading. Did not see many tips or tricks, just the things that the can do normally
This book is short in length and information. If you've had a for any length of time, you'll have read this information in books and websites before. Very basic information, when I was looking for how to utilize my Fire HD 's potential.
